They look like they are having a wonderful time. It probably is even more fun for them being out of school for another day or two. But I'm glad I don't have venture out on that ice!!

Brings back memories for this southern girl of learning to ice skate when I was six and visited Yankee cousins! This looks like great fun, plus there's that happy "missing the math test" factor.

It looks like they're pretty good at it too, at least they are all still upright! I love this brick street, too. Are you troubled with power outages? How cold are you and where is this, if you don't mind all the questions?

I live in the Netherlands. In the North East ( Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe) there is code red at the moment. So it's still freezing and very slippery roads. No traffic from the busses, taxicaps, schools are closed, no delivery of mail....But we do

But we do have power. And I don't mind your questions. I call it interest. In the rest of the country everything is normal until now at least. Hugs, Gerry

Wow! that would be fun for sure footed people, but dangerous for the elderly. Glad that safety precautions have been taken. Keep warm, love Chris

Wow would not want to drive on those roads. The kids look like they are having fun though.

We are not used to it at all. Last time we had anything like it was in 1985 and that did not last as long. So it is rather a novelty, great fun for the kids and a nuisance for grown-ups.

Look at those beautiful brick streets. the ice makes a nice high gloss shine. Ice skating out your door, sounds fun!

Nice pictures, I tried to upload one yesterday but the quality was too bad. Hope the weathermen are right and it will improve tomorrow afternoon. I don't want to try skating myself - has been years since I last did and don't want to fall and break a hip

Still code red....Hope it will be gone later today.

Finally it's raining warm water, this must surely be the end! So I can attend a funeral tomorrow without ending up against a lamppost or in a ditch :)

Nog steeds spekglad!
