These look like Calla Lilies to me Carolyn. I had two tone green ones when I lived at my other home in Valentine. They loved being in a damp area. Good luck with it, love Chris

Beautiful and cheering. As Chris said, they like almost constant damp. So if you have somewhere that plants die from too much moisture, that's the spot! Come in lots of colors but the prettiest are pinks and white. Enjoy! How deep is your snow?

Lovely Calla Lilies...they are a bulb variety and they come up every spring here...some also call them Easter Lilies...because they bloom at Easter time...

yes, I think it is a Calla Lilly also. I have had poor luck with them, so I will offer no advise. I even moved them to different locations and still no luck. I guess I am an iris girl! Kay

Beautiful Calla Lilies! We have so much rain and damp here along the Oregon Coast that ours blooms twice a year Spring and Fall though we also do not water the yard in the Summer. Since you are so cold where you are, you may want to check with a nursery or somewhere here on the internet to see if they do well if you start them indoors. Which would help you feel that spring is not too far distant if you were starting it each winter inside. Ours does not have much if any smell either. What a wonderful gift from your house guests!

Beautiful flowers. Be careful of the staimen the yellow centre as if it falls off onto the carpet or your clothes it will stain.
