I know that some of you are interested in strange customs from foreign parts so here are some pictures of our local Plough Play. The story is always the same - boy meets girl but is recruited to the army so girl need to find new boy. The girls are played by the hairiest men in the group. The play includes traditional songs and dances (including a sword dance). It doesn't really make much sense, but a good time is had by all and money is raised for charity.

The plough play is a tradition dating back to medieval times.
