Updated:Just stitched up these placemats for my daughter. Now the question is to quilt a little for stabilization. I am looking in my stash for a quilting design that will fill the 6x10 hoop<br /><br />

Something like a vine with leaves Like a red work.....On the hunt<br /><br />

Here is the first one quilted. I used a cherry design from Embroidery Library. I took 3hoopings to cover. I left the stabilizer on the back (sticky vilene) so maybe you can see it better.

Love the fruit fabric!!!! That is perfect for placemats. Hope you find a wonderful quilting pattern to use soon. Please show us the final result when done.

Very nice! If you don't find a pattern you like, try stitching line from corner to corner & several inches apart to hold them together. But really, they look great as they are.

Oh Carolyn, Eggplant purple is my daughters favorite. I made kitchen curtains and table cloth several years ago with coordinating border fabric. Just time for an update.Thanks so much.
