My friend from Maine brought me a big bag of fabric just before Christmas. There were a lot of pieces of red and a few blues so I thought I would play at making ITH quilt blocks for a sampler quilt. There are 30 23cm blocks. <br /><br />
I had to buy some plain fabric for the joining strips. (I used the method where one edge is stitched down by hand.)<br /><br />
I called it "Bodger's Dream" because I didn't have to do any measuring until I needed the joining strips!

The back was quite a problem as I hadn't planned which blocks would have each of the four backing fabrics, but I was lucky in the end.

Wonderful use of the fabric.. and a Lovely quilt as the result. Love the quilt in hoop designs. Just enlarged and noticed the border is mixture of the fabrics.. Now that is an inspiration..
