Hi Cuties, I've now finished Cohen's quilt and today just put the label on the back. Then all I had to do was finish off a Sewing machine mat that is for someone at the Newcastle Sewing Guild to which I belong. Each member was given a piece of fabric at the beginning of December and was asked to make something useful out of each piece. I was given an Orange piece of fabric and this is what I made. It's an Orange sewing machine mat that sits under your sewing machine - I've added 3 pockets to place bits and bobs in. I hope whoever receives it will like it. Love Chris

Hi Michelle, I have taken my time doing this. I left it in the hoop for the eight days whilst in I was in hospital. Just went and restarted machine and I finished it on the weekend. Taking it very easy my friend. Love C

This should pass the test, functional and pretty! It does seem to be a lot of orange (lol) but I find the older I get,I do like bright colors. It makes me happy and energetic, although I rarely wear them.

Hi Val, I didn't have a pattern. I just measured the distance of the sewing machine from left to right and then from front to back, making sure that the pockets didn't hang too low. I did one earlier with Pauline (nonna57) and Meganne. We used a purple lined curtain fabric as the base. I then just added some sewing designs by lining up roughly across the width. On my own one I have four pockets. Love Chris
