Hello my dear Cuties, I just wanted to share a picture of Mum taken today on her 82nd birthday. As we had Ophelie and Delphi today and I still can't drive, I walked the girls down to our local Tavern and secured a table. Trevor went to Mum's place and bought her back where we all had a beautiful lunch. Mum loves Barramundi Fish and I love Lamb. So I had cutlets and Mum had her fish, Trevor had a lovely Thai beef salad and the girls had fish and chips with a drink of lemonade and jelly with a chocolate frog. We all enjoyed our lunch and then let the girls play in the playground. I then walked Ophelie back through our shopping centre where I've been taking her since she was about 9 months old. So she said goodbye to everyone there as she beings School on Monday. I'll only now have Delphi on a Friday. <br /><br />

I'm so lucky to still have my Mum and Trevor's Mum will be 90 on the 2nd October, so we have longevity on both sides. I think Mum looks fabulous for her age and she is always so co-ordinated in her clothing, jewellery and shoes. Just wanted to share this picture, love Chris

Happy birthday to your Mum, she looks very smart for her luncheon. Hope that she has had a great day, you will miss Ophelie but she shall enjoy her school suppose she is very excited. Thanks Sandra, she is a smart woman. I'll certainly miss Ophelie, but number 2 will now be with us for at least the next 3 years. We'll still see Ophelie over the weekends. Went to the Doctor's again yesterday and I am now on double doses of what I was taking before. I'm feeling a bit better, but still in pain. It's just a matter of time, love Chris

Your mom looks like a lady who enjoys life, that's so important for body and mind. I know how you feel about little ones starting school, my oldest GGbaby is going to be in school next year full time, so I'll get her in summers. My mom will be 90 next year ad has a great look on life and has had a good life. We have to enjoy everyone while we have them. Great picture! Hope you get your problems solved. Sandy

Hi Laura, it's about all I can do at the moment. Walking eases the pain and the shops are only about 300 metres away. It's an easy walk no hills. Mum certainly looks after herself and we are both booked in for haircuts on Tuesday. She only lives 5 minutes away which is about all I can stand in the car at the moment. I can't wait to get better! She looks so nice. I read below where she uses day and night cream and it brought back memories of my mother. She swore by Pond's cold cream with the BLUE lid. Always we had to pick up the one with the blue lid. She put it on before bedtime and in the morning when she washed her face. When she passed, the ER dr came up, & said her skin was so lovely and was going to remove her teeth and we told him they were her own! In the midst of tears, we laughed. Enjoy her, for all of us that no longer have our 'mums'.

I used to love the smell of Ponds cold cream. One of my old neighbours from Adelaide used it religiously! Funny how memories remain so long with scents/aromas! Thanks Toogie, I will certainly enjoy her she's a wag. Love Chris

Chris-your mom is lovely. Happy 82nd to her. Cherish this time you have. My mom was 90 1/2 and passed last May 26. Only thing mom wanted was to stay outside and work in the yard. She was so energetic and loved all things outside.

Thanks Lynn, yes Mum's a real trooper and yes, I'm feeling a lot better now that I'm not in excruciating pain! Doubled the dosage and that's helping. Love Chris
