Hello everyone,

Here are 2 pencil holder made with: cans, foam craft and embroidery pattern. I used a hot glue stick to paste the craft foam on cans.

1. Embroiderie désign
2. Inside the pencil holder ( black fabric is a felt )
3. the 2 finished products, ( there are 3 monkeys bound by the leaves)

These are so pretty! A very creative way to use the designs and make a useful product. Your pen/pencil holder is so much prettier than mine....I have a red tupperware glass-lol- The monkeys are so cute and I love birds and flowers, both are equally nice. Great job!

What did you do to make that foam perfect rolled at the can border? It looks fantastic!

The foam sheet between exactly inside the box; I keep about 2.5cm (1 inch) to hide the edge of the box. The foam works well: with the warmth of hands, I stretch him at various places and I glue (hot glue) near the junction.
I also spot a strip of foam to the bottom of the box, and I flaps on the box, by cutting the surplus to make a nice round under the box : this method protects the top of the furniture on which is deposited the pencil holder

Thanks for the nice explanation. I always wanted to make the same project, but have wondered how to fix the same problem, as I did´n want to put fabric inside the can to cover it. I love your idea. Thank very much for sharing your ideas. You´re creative and a kind person.
