UPDATE-2-13-16..I made our little girl one, mom was suppose to send a photo of her with it (#4 is her with mine!)..still waiting but here's one of her bag.---------A few weeks ago, I started cutting circles for another blue jean quilt. The smaller pieces, I cut into strips. This is the strips I used from the old jeans. The inside is some fabric given to me by Mrs.Eunice's family.

I would like to be able to say, it didn't cost me much, but.... besides the 3 D-rings, a zipper, thread and interfacing, I broke 3 needles!!!!. This is not how I wanted to attach the D-Ring straps. I wanted to attach like in the 3rd photo but it was way to thick, hence the 3 broken needles.

I hope you like my recycle of the jeans. It's not as pretty as Sue's, with the embroidery up right now, in Projects, though. But Nora likes it, she thinks its hers.lol-Toogie

Thanks Sue, I loved yours and will be saving my bigger pieces, for a tote or bag using your idea, if not the same design. Does yours have a closure?

Not at the top. Just the zipped pocket on the side for security.

Cute bag, cute model. All she needs is shoes for the runway!

You mean models have to wear shoes? She's like her mom...has plenty but kicks them off first chance she gets. She had a nice warm pair of boots on earlier. Her mom said she was cranky and needed a nap. So off came the boots and socks but the nap never came. She did lay down for a while though so that helped.

I was ready to put it aside when I couldn't sew the tabs like I wanted too. It would barely fit under my foot even when I held my pressure foot up all the way. I made these tabs on my SIL's mom's purse and I liked them. I know now though it can't be sewn with bluejeans.

Nice job and I'd hate to be the one to try and take if from Nora. I think it looks good on her, but anything would. ;)

A good hair do would look better. Her hair always slips loose and is always in her face. It would give me a headache and drive me crazy to boot. I keep a brush with hairbands in the kitchen, so at least she doesn't eat it!

Yes they are growing too fast! Mine and one of yours are close in age. They will be 3 this summer. She's the only one you have to keep now, right, since the other one just started school? I'm terrible with remembering which is which, sorry.

Thanks Michelle-I wanted to emb something on the lighter top strips, but I didn't know, with all the seams how much trouble I would run into.

She is adorable. She stayed a few hours with us last evening and wanted to get in my bed to watch 'Where the Red Fern Grows". I was all too ready to lie down, so we did. Thanks for looking!-Toogie

Thank you Brendalea, I love making bags Shapes kinda change but the making is pretty much basic. I like inside pockets and outer ones, too. However on this one I left one inside pocket with no divider so it will hold an IPhone 6 maybe a 7 and I put a D-Ring to clip your keys too so you don't have to dig in the bottom for them.
