I made this quilt top for our church quilting. The girls put on back and tied, which I have some pins in, thinking it needs more ties. My D says, its ugly, why would anyone want it. All the girls say " whats wrong with her". I guess she doesn't need a quilt. LOL!

I agree with you. I think it needs more ties or quilting. As far as the comment from your D........ Everybody's taste is different and it is by all means not ugly. Some like traditional, some more modern and someone that loves nature will think that is a absolutely gorgeous quilt. You go girl and create what you enjoy.

Thank You. I know if it was quilted it would make a difference, but to much work to give away.

The quilt is lovely. Tell your daughter that if she thinks it's ugly, then she can go ahead and make one. I really have a beef with her comment that it's "ugly"...can you tell?

As avid deer hunters, any of my guys would love this quilt. I think it's nice too and if your daughter thinks this one is ugly, I know she wouldn't appreciate some of ours, we make. You have done a good job and really very pretty.

Also we only have material people have given us, and I think we have been given some very nice material. LOL!

Well, to each his own or her own...I think you all did a lovely job...although I would recommend more ties to help prevent the batting from shifting which it has a tendency to do if it is not either tied or quilted enough...

Thanks! Yes, needs more ties. Was going to go to church and get thread, Then talked myself out of going. 71/2 miles.

Dear Sandy, well as an avid patchworker/quilter - may I make a suggestion. I would sew in the ditch around the 6 main squares and maybe around the outside ones as well. It's a quick alternative than having all of the quilt quilted! It doesn't take long as it's just straight stitching. I love your binding and you've matched the colouring perfectly. Congratulations on finishing it off. Love Chris

Yes, I agree, only thing is I sew and make tops and other girls put together. We do give them away, so don't have time to do a lot of extras. I did stitch in the ditch on 3 lap quilts just before this one. Thanks!

Lovely quilt, some one at your church will love it. I agree with the other ladies, it needs more quilting ties. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Stitching!!!

I feel if you didn't sew when your mother was teaching, If you know nothing about material, if you are watching and not helping, keep your opinion to yourself, even though I love her. LOL!

I don't quilt so i appreciate all quilts. I guess My "D" is your daughter. Tell her you will definitely leave it to another member of the family. I feel like Dear Abby! Kay

Wonderful I am so glad to see this, as it is how I thought to do a panel quilt.

Thank you, doing the panels are a problem today. I use to sell lots of pillows with these panels, but people just not into the wild life pillows anymore.
