Try unplugging the machine waiting a minute and then plug it in again. Sometimes things just need to reset.

Sounds like it thinks the hoop is on and the arm is not back in the park position.

Have you looked in the area where the hoop attaches to see if ANYTHING is in there, like a bit of fabric or stabilizer? Don't know the machine, just trying to think of possibilities, since it seems to be reading something being there.

Have you moved the machine with the embroidery arm attached? It sounds like the connection may be damaged.

no it has not been moved, it has it;s own spot, with 4 other machines, not a lot of moving room. hope the dealer can find the problem, thank you anyway. doris

I'm sorry I didn't read this earlier. I do think you need to take your Baby in. I pulled out my Ellegante and plugged her in. I had no trouble getting to the home screen So I do think there is something wrong and it needs a visit to the spa. I hope it is nothing serious or expensive and it will be home soon with you.

thanks to all you cuties, back from the dr. of sewing machines. he saved her, but the screen got out of calabration, ? he ran a program hooked up to her and fixed it. he said never has he seen this happen with this ellegante. ok if it happens again i have to call him he will show me how to fix it !! I'm 73 and not too good with pc. i was almost ready to tell him he could have it back, i bought it because i didn;t want to be fixing a machine, want one to last me the rest of my years ??? he also said if the problem continues, he may have to put in a new board ? why did i buy a new machine just to have problems?? i feel let down, Doris

Happy your machine is fixed again, Hope you made the best of a long road trip. I would write in a diary the date and the conversation you had with the repairman and if it is a new machine it should be covered under warranty. So if it happens again in say 3 months time you have evidence that it has happened while still in the warranty period.
