My son made his daughter's 18 in. doll a bed out of scrap oak. She wanted me to do the mattress, sheet, pillow and quilt--I just did plain and simple. I told her today that maybe I'd make the dust ruffle another time.

Thanks toogie--she wants more and more things now. She got another My Life doll from her other grandmother for Christmas--that is the one thing she loves [dolls--no Barbie type though.] Well, she loves being outside in all kinds of weather also. We hunt rocks, fossils, acorns for her squirrels at home etc.

Adorable! I remember the set I purchased for my daughter. Love that you found a small print that works.

Oh, she loves it alright. Already asking her daddy what else he can make and she spent a few hours with me so daddy and mommy could go out so we went upstairs and made a robe for the doll [after watching YouTube videos for dolls] Forgot to take a picture of it but was so simple in cutting and only sewing under the arm down to hemline. Used my scallop edge rotary cutter for the edges [used fleece]
