I am sure we all have trouble in remembering passwords to our favorite embroidery sites. I was wondering if any Cuties could recommend an app for iPad to do just this. I have tried a couple but they are just so complicated.

I set up a simple spreadsheet with links to each website, my ID and password and I have it on a USB stick, that I can carry with me, but it could simply be saved to your iPad.
I totally rely on it as there are far more passwords, websites and ID's than any one ageing brain can remember. :-)

the usb stick.. that's a risk too. If you do it like that. You need to encypt it too else -if stolen or lost- you can easily read the info of it.

Just pen and paper for me; I have them written down in a small notebook. Once written down I usually remember.

Don't know I'm afraid I just rely on my diary for all that and renewal dates for my site subscriptions.. hope someone can help you figure it out soon. Marian

I use a program called Dashlane it saves your passwords for any program you just need to remember the one password for the program itself here is the link

It just occurred to me to ask: Do iPads use a normal web browser such as Firefox?
If so, you can set it up to save your passwords and use a master password to protect them all.
Sorry Sarah, this is the best I can suggest since I don't have an iPad so have no idea of their capabilities.
If you can choose your own web browser perhaps you could download Firefox and try it.

Don't have an iPad but an iMac and I work with Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome (some pages don't like Firefox, so I can switch) . Keep my passwords the very old fashioned way: Make a screenshot from the webpage incl. the adressblock and the mailadress (I have 4 different) and use the page name and the password as picture title. Have a big folder where I push them all in :-)

My passwords are written down in a small notebook, the old fashioned way, I know. And all the embroidery sites have the same password. It is not like access to them needs to be secure.

I use 'MiniKeepass'. (there is also a PC version and you can share your file on pc and Ipad) Easy to use.

Thank you all so much for your interesting answers. I eventually found an app for the iPad called 1Password. It is easy to understand and all my favorite embroidery sites are now on hand. I have always used a notebook but my writing is so terrible that I cannot read my own writing!!
