UPDATE :For users of Embird

Hi, I have one or two solutions. ( from various specialized forums "Embird")<br /><br />
<br /><br />
If Uninstall... "...should not that be your .klc file in the same folder that where you installed Embird because then rewritten by default the keys are in it.<br /><br />
You can make an attempt to rename this file password.klc the NONUTILISEpassword.klc<br /><br />
<br /><br />
OR <br /><br />
"..and at the manager section with the "red key" button you have access to your password and although you delete one of iconiser to see if that solves your problem"<br /><br />
<br /><br />
I delete the Iconiser password and for now my Windows file browser works well; not crushed despite that I overloaded requests to my computer to test.<br /><br />
I hope this post will help someone else.<br /><br />
Thank you all for your help<br /><br />
Hugs, Céline

I would like to know if you have the same problem as me. I have basic Embird + Iconizer. Since I installed my "Windows File Explorer" crasht regularly. I upgrade and /or update for Windows 10, and I still have the same problem...Since the update, the browser crash when I close files Embird ....<br /><br /><br /><br />
I had the same problem with windows 7 . This comes from Embird or Iconizer?<br /><br /><br /><br />
I did configurations suggested by Embird,<br /><br /><br /><br />
Thank you for your help<br /><br /><br /><br />
Hugs, Céline<br /><br />

I had the same problem with the Iconizer. I chose to buy Sewiconz instead of messing with it. As soon as I removed the Iconizer -- the computer crashes stopped.

Than you very much rescuer for your answer. I had thought to be alone with this problem. I'll try to remove Iconizer on my computer Windows 7 and install a trial version "Sewiconz". I hope to resolve my problem. If so, I will do the same with my Windows 10. I'll let you know for Embird Iconizer.
Have a nice day

I recommended Embird to a friend, so I felt bad when these Explorer crashes happened on her computer as well as mine when we moved to a 64-bit computer. I wrote to Dusan Balara and she will not even acknowledge there is or ever was a problem with the iconizer. My friends son's is a computer engineer and he isolated the problem to the iconizer. First Dusan told me to uninstall and reinstall. Then she said I had a computer bug and refused to help me. My computer was brand new. I have 5 friends who all wrote to her with the same problem. She responds no one is having this issue, even after I sent her a link to this site, her own site where she says it was an issue in 2010 and another site where people complained in 2011. I bought Embird for the iconizer. It is an outrage to me because I know she knows it exists. So please tell me, does Sewiconz display picture icons for the smallest size details because Thumbnails in Embrilliance does not. Thanks for any help.

Sorry about the problem with the Iconizer. So far I have resisted Microsoft's offer to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I think I'll continue with 7. Rescuer's suggestion to buy Sewiconz is a good idea.

Hi Lidia,
I will remove Iconizer. Then I'll try the software suggested by rescuer.

I have always 2 computer: one which is connected with my embroidery machine ( with Windows 7)
My second computer is a gift from hubby. Since I have problems with my eyes, he bought a computer " All-in-one", with a touch screen and the screen is adjustable between 15 and 80 degree. This one is with Windows 10 incorporated into the factory. When I installed EMBIRD with Iconizer, I immediately started having problems "Crash of Windows File Explorer" .
Abour Windows 10,we had problems with a computer with Microsoft's offer, and we had to repair it. The problem was with the sound card. But everything is fine. However, this computer is only used to go on the Internet.

Thank you for your answer. I'll let you know for Embird Iconizer.
Have a nice day

There are two Embird Groups on Yahoo Groups. They are very helpful solving this kind of problem. I think there is a free upgrade to Embird 15 that might help you out.

I too keep an old computer just for embroidery. It's an XP. Love it's folder vi

I had the same problem with embird basic & Iconizer making my Laptop crash all the time when I first bought one with windows 7. I uninstalled them and bought Embriliance thumbnailer and have had no problems. I then had Virtual XP installed on my laptop and Embird & Iconizer put there. No problems. It is good to know we are not alone with these problems. Hugs

Oh yes, It is good to know we are not alone with these problems. My Windows 7 received the upgrade this afternoon, but the Windos file explorer crash always as soon as I click on it. It is important to visualize our designs without having to open Embird every time.
So I will try different options. Thank you all for answering. I'll let you know how the problem will be solved.

I have contacted Dusan on a number of occasions and he was always very helpful. I went from Vista (that used the 32 bit version) to Windows 8.1, for which I downloaded the 64 bit version of Embird and have had no problems with Iconiser.
I had to unable the viewer on 6D Premium as that clashed with Iconiser. It was one or the other and I chose the Embird one.

SewIcon is the perfect solution! I had the same trouble with Embrillance. Now, with SewWhat Pro's solution, my computer running great without crashing! It is a little slow opening the folder with files yet to be filed...lol but it works well, very well.
