Placemat made with Spendlove's table setting design and a design from Embroidery Library in the centre.

I have a lot of quilted calico (unbleached) and thought I would try this out. I cut about a metre off the roll and put it through the washing machine so if it was going the shrink it will be now not later.
The trim pieces are scraps from another project ages ago.
Sue's design is available from my gardened.com
Thanks for looking.

Very nicely done! Did you quilt the calico yourself, or was it already quilted? I have the design, but haven't tried it yet.

No the Calico was already quilted. The store I bought it from was not going to stock fabrics anymore and had 10 metre rolls for $10. So I bought 3 rolls.

I once had a big piece of quilted fabric from a bedding 'Seconds' store. Made a great jacket, but mine had a pattern on one side.

It would be good if it was another colour except cream but the price was right.

Thank you. I just loved the design you did as a table setting and thought I can use this design in so many ways. It is your creativity that got me thinking.

Thank you. That is what I love about machine embroidery you can change bits of it to make it fit with what you have.
