Would you like to see what I am working on right now? This is a quilt in the hoop block for my sister's queen size quilt. This is the first of 36 which will cover the entire top of the bed and then I will design new blocks to complete. She has also asked me to place a sunset and moon in this so that is quite the challenge. She loves and collects sunrise and sunset images so I chose these colors in order to introduce those elements. This is quite the undertaking for me. It is a ''Hoop Sisters' (Crazy compass) quilt and this is my first time. Not sure how I feel about this process yet, will have to wait until later to give you my verdict.

Nice start...which block joining technique of theirs are you going to use?...They have a couple of different ways to join the blocks together...

The original pattern shows with sashing on the front but I have decided to se block to block I hope I don't regret it lol. I will do block binding on the reverse.

Wow , I know a few people who have taken on a Hoop Sisters quilts, and they are a task. I did notice that they used water soluble thread on the outside edge of there blocks, since sewing these blocks is a precision task. Good luck!
