I am sorry, but I do not know of any company that does that.. Do you have someone around you that could show you how to get your designs from your computer to the USB? If not why not ask if the dealer or person that sold you the machine to show you.

Please tell us what brand of machine do you have.

Crafter is correct. Lunch Box designs sells theirs on USB, but they are quilters, and their explanations and instructions were confusing to me! Beautiful files, though. I think find someone who will walk you through it. It's a bit confusing at first. Someone who has a machine and some time. (I'm near Auburn, AL if that would help.)

Don't give up, if you can just find someone who will show you the steps, 1,2,3,etc. and most importantly, have you do it with them right beside you so you will realize that it is really pretty easy. It will depend on your machine, software,etc so try to find someone who has the same as yours. Maybe call the dealer and ask if there is someone who could do this with with you.

Even if they did you would not be able to use it on your machine! Sewing machines only have so much memory. Get someone to show you , write it down. Don't let them leave until you understand!

I was using my computer quite happily for a number of years Windows XP downloading designs straight onto a USB stick. Then computer wore out and had to replace it and a whole new system Windows 7.<br /><br />
Nearly went bald pulling my hair out trying to work out where my downloads went as I knew I downloaded them but no choice as to where.<br /><br />
When I found them in my computer in downloads I was happy again.<br /><br />
As someone mentioned if you were to get them already loaded they would cost so much more and you would have to wait for them to come through the post.<br /><br />
Please don't give up on embroidery there will be help on this site for you. I am not computer savvy but I have learnt so much from those that have.

What I am hearing you say is that you are frustrated by two things: the process of downloading designs, and also getting those downloaded designs to your USB drive. There are some sites that will send you a CD with the designs that you have bought from them, but you still have the issue on how to get them to your USB drive.

To download designs, first go online, find the file you wish to download, and click on it. On the box that comes up, you will find some choices: open, save, and save as. If you already know where your downloaded files go to, choose “save”, but if you never seem to know just where a file goes after you save it, choose "save as". The reason you want to choose "save as" is because after you make that choice, the next window that comes up will be the actual folder where the design will be downloaded to. The name of the folder is shown across the top of that window. Write down the name of that folder so you can find it when you are ready to copy the file to your USB drive. Do a windows search (if necessary) to help you find the correct folder.

To copy the designs to a USB drive: The process is simple once you know how to do it, but a tad complicated to describe because for it to work you have to have the correct windows open. So, instead, I will refer you to one of the videos on YouTube that show you just how to do that. Believe it or not, working with computers does get easier as you use it, and each time you learn something new. The most important thing to keep in mind is not to be afraid to use the computer. Once you are comfortable with doing these things, you might actually enjoy using your computer!

Don't panic, help is always available here! I'm afraid that buying designs on a stick would not be very helpful as the stick you use in your machine has to be formatted for your machine before you add the designs.
I hope you manage to get back to read these replies and tell us more about yourself. It may be that you are just a phone call away from one of us!

What embroidery machine do you have?
How old is your computer? New? Two years old? Or possibly very old (more than 10 years)

The "friend" that was supposed to help me, hasn't shown up :( waiting for two days...the lady that owns the local sewing store wants 50 and hour with a min of four hours!

It is easy to do - once you know how and as someone else wrote. Write the instructions down when you learn how to do it and keep them for next time.
A word of warning the info with the 780D says that you can put heaps of designs on your USB, but it makes finding them difficult.
I use one USB just for transferring designs to the machine and all my designs are stored on my PC.
I have only 3 to 6 designs on the USB stick at any one time to make it easy to find the one I want. The 780D has a tiny screen and a lot of designs can just look like a blob if large.
Go into the file for looking at the names of all your files. (I know Microsoft changed the name slightly, so not sure what yours is called) On my machine it is called "Windows Explorer".
Find the file you wish to download and click on it ONCE with the left mouse button to highlight it.
Right click on the file name and a dialogue box appears.
Scroll down to "Send to" ; hold the curser over that and you will see a list - somewhere on that list will be your USB stick. Click on the word/s describing your USB stick.
All is done.

You might check your local community center for free computer lessons. Perhaps your local library would have some help.

If there is a place in your area that teaches computer classes, try to attend them. Tell the instructor what you are trying to do and they should be able to walk you through the download process. In my area there are some schools that teach parent computer classes. Also, the State Extension Offices, and some churches have classes. Learning to be more comfortable with your computer will go a long way to helping with the frustration you are feeling.
I have met many wonderful crafters at fabric and craft stores that have become good friends. They have helped me in many ways as I attempt many crafts. I pray for a special friend to be able to help you.
Please don't give up, you can do this.

I am not a computer savvy person either and I did not even own a computer when I bought my first embroidery machine. At that time we purchased cards that were sold by the dealer. They were inserted into the machine as the USB stick is today. Don't buy any cards as they are almost obsolete now. I know someone on this site can help you. First we must find someone that has your machine and then someone can talk you through getting the downloaded design to your machine. I don't use an USB stick to transfer to my machine. I use a cable that plugs into my machine and the other end is to my lap top. So I am not the person to help you but we have so many wonderful people here on this site and I know some one will be able to help you. Kay

I have a 780 brother,with the usb's you must only load single designs one at a time, it will not take folders, it will tell you if you have too many on the usb, after inserting the usb, you touch the computer sign on the screen, you must only have "pes" designs,...wendy
