Wondering if any cuties here have used a laminated fabric over a small embroidered sign, I need to make a sign, on cotton or felt fabric, needs to go over a door knob (So it keeps the sign clean.) Or is it better just to cover with a low gauge plastic?

Any help would be appreciated and thanking you in advance for any help.

I have used thin vinyl and iron on vinyl with success.

I have made mug rugs and embroidered the design as normal and put clear plastic over the top as the last part. The outside edge.
