Ashley is in surgery-Gus will be arriving shortly-please, she has asked for prayer- she is nervous this time as they will be doing a hystertomy too and her blood count has been running low so he expects to have do do blood transfusion. They just took her and said it would be about 2 1/2 hours before they are out.--Baby is born-weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces-19 1/2 inches- Ashley still in surgery- I'm sorry to be so long getting back to you all - Gus had to go to NICU because of rapid breathing- doing better now- grandparents & dad were allowed to go in - I took some photos for Ashley because she said she didn't get to look him over good even though she got to hold him a little while- Ashley's heart rate and body temperature dropped because she was uncovered in OR for 2 1/2 hours and because of blood loss. She came back from recovery with a body heater still on, but it's off now, so that's better. Received 2 units of blood, will recheck in morning to see if more is needed. Right now everyone is stable/good. Thank you all for prayer and support.-MONDAY MORNING-Thank you ALL for prayers, best wishes and caring about our family. God has blessed us once again. I know Ashley had to be worn out because she kept pushing her pain medicine button, regularly. However, she did not want her dad and I to leave, until they brought her the baby and she good examine him for herself. And she WANTED her baby!-lol- That was about 9:30 pm and we had an hours drive home, so we got home about 11 pm. Yes, we stayed and as I reassured her, everything is there and he is fine. But you know us moms, we have to see for ourselves!

Marsha, my oldest daughter said he has mine, Ashley's, Nora's lips. She said he's got his moms and g-pa's nose. She said he looked like 'our' side.

He does have the lips and nose, like us, but I'll wait and see. It's hard for me to tell at first, but I do think no matter, he's beautiful! I think all babies are.

I'm so excited, because I have a friend, that lives a few states away and she's having her first grandchild this morning!!!!! Isn't that something?! Her DIL was due the 18th of March so she was a little late. Ours due date was April 4th but surgery was scheduled for March 28th, however God's due date was yesterday.

We have been emailing like crazy. We both found out they were pregnant, about the same time. Then we both found out they were boys, about the same time. Then we laughed because one of the names they were each considering was the same!-lol- Now they will be born about 24 hours apart or less!! How odd, weird, chance of that!!! I heard from her an hour ago when her DIL was at an 8 (measurement stage during labor) so it won't be long now!!!-

Well, I'll check back later. I have therapy this morning and hubby is waiting to help me in the shower. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything-Toogie
OH, look at that nearly 7 lbs of love. What a wonderful day you have had. I know you are worried, but things seem to be progressing and I'll keep praying for your darling Ashley.
It's always so nice to get a new family member and it makes so much joy, to see the little ones grow up.
