My thoughts go out to all the people in Brussels after a terrorist attack. I have a stepson there, who is safe and we have zoefzoef (Linda) and her family there. Keep safe Linda. Love and hugs. Sarah

I haven't seen the news. How horrible that these thoughts even come into people's minds. I'm glad your stepson is safe and I'm praying for our Linda and her family.

This is terrible news to wake up to in the morning! I'm so sorry for all of the physical and emotional agony these folks are now going through. I cling to the knowledge that no matter how much devestation these people can cause, they are and never will be in control. My prayers are added.

Thank you Kim. Philip is supposed to be flying out of Brussels tomorrow with his girlfriend. Do not think that will happen.

Thank you. Philip has skyped me and he is fine, just a bit shaken. His office is tight by the Metro Station.

Hello everybody ! Just a quick note to let you know that me, Ronald and Kathleen are doing fine. So far that I know my friends too. Strong meassures are being taken over here. All international people had to leave our office (Belgium) inmmediately - instructions from headoffice Germany and for It departement we needed to start a sort of disaster procedure. But we are still a bit in shock. Prayers for everybody

Yes, she was very shaken by the news yesterday. It is a very difficult time and more security needs to be put in place.

Hi Sarah, I'm so glad your stepson is OK and that Linda and family are safe.

I cannot understand all of these senseless acts of terrorism.

Why can't they let everyone else alone? The rest of the world want to live in Peace - our world is certainly not safe to travel anymore. I believe we will not be able to take anything into airports in the future that even resemble backpacks, anoraks etc. Just have a suitcase and your bag/purse whatever you need for passports/visas etc. It hopefully would ensure easier passage through the security scanners! Love Chris

The more security the better. I never carry anything on board except a very small bag, where I have a change of underwear and a cardigan/ jersey. I wear one of those little pouches around my waist for money, passport and valuables.
I see this morning that they are searching everybody that gets on the trains.
It is all very sad but unfortunately this is the world we live in.

I agree with you Sarah. I get stopped every time going through the scanner because there are metal things in my shoes! And you can bet your boots I get through that and the bomb detector man scans my whole body in case I have something on me!! Never fails! A few years ago I had a metal nail file taken away from me at the place where you have to put your handbag through the scanning machine. Yes, it's the world we live in now. Love Chris
