Just had to show you my Easter present from my Hubby!!I I have always wanted a pair of these and all the natives ware them here i have asked a few times about buying them but no one ever did it .Finally one lady has hand sewed them for me.The skin is DEER and the fur on top is RABBIT.All from our bush.Thanks for LQQKING!!!Hugs Carolyn and Happy EASTER!!!!!

These are really nice mittens. They will keep your hubby's hands quite comfy. I used to have a pair of bedroom slippers like these, but with fox fur for the cuffs. I wish I could get another pair, since they were so soft and warm. Happy Easter!

Lucky lucky lady your are. Love them. Wished I had them and also a pair of what they call Mucluc's????? I know I am not spelling it right but I mean the boots. Have always liked things like this and love watching the Alaskan or Northern trap hunters making stuff like this. WAIT! WHOA! you get gifts at Easter also???? You are lucky, um, blessed!

Caroline, those are a beautiful gift from John. They sure will get used in the coming years. I still have my moosehide mittens from years ago. I remember how warm and comfy they were. Can't wear them where I am now tho. Have a Happy Easter! ~Charlotte

I freeze and I don't live in all the snow you get. If I was a thief, you wouldn't have them long!!!-lol- Great guy you have there, trying to keep his sweetheart warm. Beautiful craftmanship,too. Do they tan the deer hides and rabbit, themselves? They look so soft.
