I started with a circle, and made a band to fit it with the lower edge, slightly wider at the bottom edge about 3.5 in width I then cut two of these and joined these to make a circle (because I'm small I can't wear a very large brim on my hats) the cut a large circle I cut of these cut out a hole in the middle and sewed it all together last of all I put bias around the outside edge to finish it off starch it very stiff.

Not hard to make, just be exact in seam. and use and iron on interfacing according to what weight of fabric you are using to get them stiff some fabric are heavier than others. also heavy spray starch. on one I used a fuse kind putting two fabrics together making them as one piece
