our granddaughter has an upcoming concert for dance & her costume was way to big & plain so she asked me what I could do to alter it & give it some bling. For 2 weeks I worked on adding the sequins to the bodice & when she came the week before Easter she tried it on & I had forgotten to take in the bodice so I had her take it home & remove 1.5" of the sequins. She brought it back with her over the Easter weekend & I was able to finish the top. Both her & her mom are much happier with the finishing touches. I took it in the back 1.5 inches & made a bow pleat on the front & now it fits her without revealing her front when she dances first picture is a side view (not showing the front since it shows too much) I hope that you can see the large droop under her arm which gives you an idea of how much of a droop was in the front. 2cd picture shows the improvements I made & if you zoom in you will see the bow pleat which is a really pretty way to take it in. I maybe should have thought of putting darts in but my first thought was adding the bling. Hopefully I won't have to do this again but if I do I hope I remember to make the alterations BEFORE I add the bling lol. She does such a graceful & delicate dance I wanted that to be the focus when she does her solo.
