Two mug rugs for 5x7 hoop.

I had not touched my embroidery machine for a couple of weeks, but I did digitise quite a few things. So today I tested two mug rugs. I dyed the yellow cotton a few years ago, with less skill than I hoped for at the time giving it a marbling effect - which would not show tea stains too badly :). And I used a variegated thread as well

The second one stitched in 9 minutes, I think the first one takes as long although adding the four borders adds handling time.
The feathered design, the maze and outlines were done in Embird, the stippling in 6D Extra.

You would croak if I told you how much I paid for hand died fabric! They are both super lovely! I must admit to being envious of the feather quilting motif. Wonderful job as always.

They are sure to add a little sunshine to anyone's day! I admire your dyeing skills! I love the shade of yellow that you came up with. Yellow is a difficult color for me to find just the right shade I want. If yours was on a bolt, I'd buy the whole thing!

Is there somewhere we can see what you have been digitizing? Your work is always so marvelous and I'm so curious.

Beautiful digi and beautiful result with the dyed fabric. The maze could be a prayer maze for "finger walking" and praying.

I digitised both in 3 variations: no borders, borders, middle (reverse) appliqué. So I have a choice. Just wanted to show two possibilities.
