Most important thing with the machine is to make sure the padlock is showing for the hoop and pressure foot is down when you thread.

Delighted for you, you shall really enjoy your new machine,. I just love mine and am so thrilled also, at what it can do, and the larger hoops are awesome to use. Good advice from babash,always have the foot down when threading. I have had no hickups with mine, and it just sews like a dream. ENJOY. Sandra
