This was a floor length kaftan which is now a short one. I changed the ITH neckline I have used before for this. (I added a back neck decoration as well.)

All I need now is some hot weather!

Love the way the print has a border about the hip length. Can't wait to see what you make with the off cut.
As for Warm Weather we are finally getting some Cool here so it is on the way to you.

Haven't really got anything useful. The facings took most of the good part.

Now that colour is more like you! I love the print and the neckline seems to echo parts of the border, nice work!

I think I will wear this a lot. The neckline design is quite versatile. I added the blanket stitch for this one, but otherwise the effect is from the colours I used.

Great job Sue, now did you cut the caftan in two to get the border print on the bottom and re-position the sleeves. I am assuming that the border design was on the bottom of the Kaftan. I love the colours in this and I do hope you get some warm weather soon. We are in Autumn downunder and beautiful sunny days with cool mornings. I love it! Love Chris

The border was along the bottom, but the narrow border was up the sides (It was a butterfly style kaftan.) I used the sides to make sleeves.

That is wonderful. Also I assume the border was on the bottom and you changed the top sewing? Wishing you a lovely summer in the new caftan
