Hi Cuties, well I've finished the first Holly table runner for my ladies luncheon this coming December. I just made a simple 4 and a half inch red square, then cut 5 inch square green holly fabric and halved them on the diagonal to give me the side pieces. Once finished I measured the length and width and added a 1 and a half inch white border. When that was done I added an embroidered holly design in each square. I then did a backing in red by just making it a couple of inches longer and wider and sewed down the side seams and then folded in the top and bottom. Next I just stitched in the ditch of the red squares. I may still do some more ditch stitching on some of the other bits. It's 8.30pm Thursday evening and I'm finished sewing for the day.
