Ginkgo leaves on hand towel, guest towel and wash mitt.
I digitised two leaves. One has the parallel veins the ginkgo has, the other has branched veins, which makes a more interesting design. Wonder what you think.
I copy and pasted, resized, mirrored, used skew, shortened and reshaped the stems and combined.
I used variegated thread for all as I was too lazy to change threads for every leaf.

Very nice design and very elegant. Even better would be highlighted on a thinner fabric. Congratulations.

I needed a gift and expecting it would stitch out well I "tested" the design on the towels.

Ooh! Martine these are just perfect. I love the delicate design of the Gingko leaves, they look very effective on those towels. Love Chris

Thanks Chris. I was quite pleased with the result - fast stitching and still they stand out on the towelling.

I love the Gingko leaf motif design. To me it always speaks of elegance. Anyone should love to have this set in any color in their bath. Me, well I love the verigated thread. As always Martine, this is lovely. /Lillian

Thank you Lilian.
There was a lovely solitair gingko in a park near where we lived when I was a child. The colours of the leaves in autumn were so different than the native trees, I never forgot.

Great work - nice to use "what you have" in new and creative ways.

Thank you. The nice thing about changing it in the digitising mode is that the stitch length stays the same. And in this type of design stitch length plays a large role.

Your leaves give a soft and graceful feel that complements the lovely texture of the towels. The variation in the leaves gives them a realistic look. Fabulous design and stitchout!

I still wonder which one people like best - the parallel veins or the branched ones.

Don't know what a Ginko is or looks like in life.
But
I like the branched veins the best.
That said, both designs look great.
