UPDATE Thursday- Prayers answered! Geri is her 'old Geri' again. When I got to the hospital and went in ICU we were so happy to see each other and talked non-stop for an hour! I just wanted to cry with joy! She wanted to catch up on everything she's missed in the last 10 days-lol-
Had to have been meds. We may never know for sure which ones, as they changed, took away and added, but thank God she's her old sweet self again. Nothing like having an old friend back.
Anyway, while we were chatting the nurse came in and said they had a room and was moving her back on the floor. Now maybe it won't be too long and she can go home. She is tired of hospital food.
I heard from my grandsons wife- other than being a little sore she is fine and looking forward to the pain of childbirth. She said at least something good will come out of that pain!
No more updates on this post. I do want to thank our Father publicly, for answering all the prayers, on behalf of my family. I also want to thank Cuties for their prayers. I am looking forward to an uneventful next few days........think that's possible?-lol-Toogie
WED morning- Grand daughter-in -law being discharged from hospital- no contractions and doing well- Geri is still in ICU but is awake and news from her nurse said alert. I asked Geri's daughter about hallucinations and she said they are monitoring her closely and they haven't witnessed any- I would be interrogating doctors, to see exactly what caused her to react for a week so 'not normal', so she won't be given it again in the future. This has been scary so I hope it is truly over...... UPDATE Tuesday afternoon-Grand daughter-in-law and unborn baby doing well-They've got her up walking and she rested fairly well last night-no contractions so far so good-- Geri is still in ICU. They changed her antibiotic and may see a little improvement, at least we are hopeful. Will update as things progress--------UPDATES 7:30 pm Monday-in recovery-we cannot believe how large this cyst was 16 cm over 6 inches! No reason the poor woman was in pain- baby is fine- dr said he will keep her here for couple days to make sure if the uterus contract he can give her meds to stop contRactions-----update 6 pm- emergency surgery for grandsons wife- the cyst on ovary was cutting off circulation and causing all the pain - pray for unborn baby and her.-----------hello my Cutie friends, there is so much going on I don't know where to start.

Update on Geri- The kidney/cancerous tumor removal surgery went great and that is okay. Something terribly wrong has happened to her mind since having the surgery. It will be a week tomorrow and she hallucinates, doesn't realize where she is, even today doesn't know who she is. Then sometimes, a few days ago she remembered and asked about Lanie's surgery, she remembered I had my appointment, etc. The doctors are dumbfounded. The remaining kidney is functioning well but she does have a UTI and they have been treating her for that. I have heard of urinary track infections causing confusion before, but she is getting worse. The did an MRI and EEG no stroke or anything showed. They have ordered a spinal tap, but she can't be still so I don't know how they will do it. They didn't want to sedate her if it was caused by sedation from the surgery, so she really needs everybodys prayers. I hate to see her like this and her two girls are worn out, trying to hold their jobs and rotating hospital stays.

Her daughter just text me and said they are going to sedate her again, to do the spinal tap, and then put her in ICU afterward to monitor her. We all are worried about the sedation, especially if that's what caused this to begin with.

Also, my grandsons wife has been admitted for observation. I haven't said anything here, but I am being promoted to Great-grandmother. We just found out, at the reveal party Saturday, it is a little boy named Rylan Ross. She was hurting this morning and went to ER. They believe it is a cyst on her ovary, causing her pain.

I will try to update, but right now I need to spend time in prayer myself-Thank you all for prayers and support during this time-Toogie

ps. Lanie is doing well, just throat still sore. Her and I neither one made church yesterday, because of the weather.
About Geri-they haven't done the spinal tap yet, but did put her in ICU and sedate her. She has not slept in a week tomorrow! Hopefully when she comes awake this time, she will be normal. Maybe they can withhold all new meds, until its flushed out of her system, and she will be 'normal'. I hate to see her so scared and wild eyed. Pray the doctors find what caused this and can correct it. She is such a dear.
It was really severe too...he was trying to type on a computer that wasn't there and all kinds of really strange things.
All stopped when they changed his meds and he was fine after that.
My sister is a retired nurse and she said a UTI or steroids can also cause this. She had a patient, given even a small dose of steroid and reacted this way.
I hope this is all it is..........
I cannot believe you are going to be a Great-Grandmother, you look too young to be one. I'm pleased Lanie is doing well and I will keep you all under prayer cover.
May our Lord cover you with his never ending love and compassion. Love Chris
Geri is in Intensive Care Unit, so she will be monitored closely.
I AM too young to be a Great- grandmother!-lol- That is one reason I haven't said anything, I'm trying to get used to the reality.....They will be great parents. The doctor had said he may would have to remove the ovary,as well, but again I give God the glory for answered prayer, as the doctor was able to leave it.
It's getting late and I'm beat. I do want to finish answering all these post though, because I am so thankful, first to God and then to all that petitioned Him, on behalf of my family. Thank you-Toogie
Geri still needs our prayers for a solution to her problem. She has been moved to ICU.........

Love and hugs Sarah
I still walk with a limp and hope eventually that will go away, as the leg strengthens. I am getting stronger, but I can't walk for long distance, or long time. I am thinking of getting me a recumbent bike to use at home, like I do at therapy and use even after I am well. I have gained weight since immobile and need to lose especially for my leg and joints. I lost before by using my treadmill, which I love, but the therapist says you have more of a chance of falling and I'm not ready for a treadmill yet.
Don't worry about me...my husband is taking good care of me, as he is ready to turn the house & cooking, back over to me-lol-Toogie
Sounds like your family has been through the wringer too. We have such a large family, it is a wonder there isn't more, BUT I'm not complaining!-lol-enough is plenty here.
I appreciate and feel, the outpouring of your love and hope you feel mine as well. -Toogie
