Dear Cuties. Just to let you know that my grandson Joshua was not able to keep his leg, after four years of pain, infections and 16 operations. This afternoon his leg was amputated just below the knee. He has just come out of theatre. It has been a bad week for us all. I am just so relieved it is over. Joshua can now hopefully get his health and life back. He has been so very brave, it was not an easy decision for him. I am just so proud of him.

Sarah I am so sorry. He has been so brave over the years. I am not a doctor but I believe infections can affect the whole body. I am praying for fast healing now. May he get his strength back so he can learn how to go on in life.

Joshua has had quite a struggle, and now I am praying he heals quickly, so he can get back to enjoying life, free from infection. Continuous infection keeps the body weak. He is young and will rally well, as soon as he is healed! Praying for good days for him and all the family now!!

That must have been a difficult decision to make. I do hope now, he has no more pain and he will get a prosthesis soon, so he can learn how to walk with this and will be able to enjoy life without pain and infections. You sure can be proud on this so brave boy. He will be in my prayers , prayers and hugs are coming your way for him and the whole family. I hope you can hold him in your arms very soon.

What a difficult decision for one so young, but he was the one having to "live through" this, so it certainly was his to make. He is brave, smart, determined and full of life. I pray this will be something he will quickly recover from and start a new chapter in his life; one free from pain. Hugs for you and prayers for that brave boy.

One of my grandsons would beg them to cut his foot off. He was in such pain! He had 8 surgeries, in about a 2 week time length, but kept his foot. He has scaring, but who cares, he is well and out of pain.
Your daughter will be lifted up as well, as I know this has been very trying for her, as well as you. It pangs us so, to see our children suffer, physically or emotionally. With love outpouring, for you and your family,Toogie.
