Well, everybody, it is that time of year again! Time for all those of you who want to help Cute Embroidery to celebrate it's birthday at the beginning of July to sign up to take part in a secret gift exchange.
You have until 1st June to send an email to cutesecretsanta(at)yahoo(dot)com with your name, user name and full postal address.
As soon as possible after that time, I will send you the details of the person to send your gift to.
Some of you will notice that this is a bit different to the usual system. This is because I have simplified things so that likes and dislikes etc are not really needed.
This time we are all going to make a pincushion using a design from one of the Cute family of sites. Although all gifts will be the same, we all have the opportunity to make one which is truly unique for our secret sister.
Just a thought - the current free alphabet would be a good choice of design!

Ah..........................so are you. Awesome to see you here.
Ditto...Awesome to see you, Dennis...Sue picked pincushions for the projects...she probably should have picked scissor holders!
LOL!
Thank you, kind ladies. The true reason for her choosing pincushions is that as one of the two infamous UK Moderators she can spend her thoughts sticking pins in people who misbehave...................well, that's what I heard, anyway....................lol
Dennis, are you saying she is more polite (to use only pins in people) than those of us from the US? We do know how to use scissors! LOL
Good to see you here Dennis!
Good to see you here Dennis!
Thank you Rescuer for your kind thoughts.......on the welcome, that is. As the the pins and/or scissors.............I've experienced both but I'm a good boy now and behave myself when amongst you ladies. HaHa
I really missed having you here with us. You make me smile!
I must add my welcome back also Mr Dennis! have missed your unique perspective on the site.
Thank you Leaha.............a very kind thought.

If I hadn't seen Bev's link to pincushions patterns I might have missed this. How did that happen? Email on the way.

Oh how I wish my body would cooperate! I love pincushions, and has been a favorite for me to think of various pincushions to create, along with creating some fancy stick pins to adorn them. I believe I am up to 2 embroidery sewing days in the last year, so unless my body makes a HUGE improvement by June 1st then I will have to play along in spirit and resolve to play by myself and on my bodies timeline, so I will design now, and stitch it out at some later date, in tribute of Cute's Birthday 2016. Oh how I hope that next year will be a different story as this story has worn out it's welcome to this body. Hoping all create up a storm and enjoy every second you are able to be your sewing spaces. I do look forward to seeing the creations that the Cutie's come up with. Pam

Pam, I wish I could come and be your hands. I love your sweet heart and the thought you put into every answer.
Me too! Huge Hugs for the thought! Planning can be lots of fun as you can get lost on all of the pin cushion sites and on Pinterest. Though I need to be able to complete some of these dreams I have planned out. If my body does not improve or have a surgery to improve things soon, we will need to figure out a way for me to use my embroidery machine from my waterbed! With all the supplies I would need it would be far better if I could go to the craft room, that is the goal anyway. I won't give up. Can't wait to see pictures of the creations that Cuties come up with.

I thought about having some extensions done in my hair but got short shrift from my barber!!
So ladies.......................positively NO extensions, you hear!

Just wear your proper powdered wig.
Wasn't sure what "short shrift" meant. I get it, but laughed at one definition.

Thanks Sue. I'm always curious as to how many are participating -having the same item to make in our own individual style is going to be so interesting to see the results of!
