UPDATE ON JOSHUA. My braver than braver grandson visited the prosthesis Doctor this morning to start working on the stump for his first prosthesis. The stump has to be bound for several weeks to make it into a cone shape so it will fit the cup of his artificial leg. Our warrior will be up on his 'feet' in about 6/ 8 weeks.

Given all that he has been through these past times just shows how positive a mindset that he has. If he is not doing so already, he will certainly be running rings around you all in no time at all. His positive outlook is also without question a great credit to his family and friends, without which he would have had to face the dark times alone. Good luck to young Joshua and well done to his family and friends.

I know it is going to be amazing how fast Joshua will be up and around on his new leg. Prosthesis are incredible and people are now running marathons and even Active Duty Military members with double amputees are living near normal lives. With all he has already been through, I'm thinking he is going to be a stellar patient and a model to those who need a prosthesis in the future. It's going to be hard to keep him down for very long.
