Can anyone tell me if you're going to place an embroidery design on a pant leg where abouts is it supposed to go?

Gosh have never done that but I would think between the knee and the hem on the outside.

thanks I was thinking this too but am not sure if it should be closer to the ankle or closer to the knee? I hope a cutie will know the best place for this.
I think nearer the ankle to give a long-leggity look. P.S. We sure are seeing lots of embroidery on pockets on the back side of jeans! Oh, also, depending on your design, you may want to center it on the side (outside) seam OR you may want it more in view from the front.

Where ever the hole is! Lol! I have a nice pair of summer slacks that has a hole right above the knee. I am still looking for the perfect design to go there.

I usually put them on the outside leg, centered down the seam...but I have also done some in the front leg toward the bottom, knee, pockets, upper thigh...no rules...wherever you want it to be...depends upon the design too...

I have opened the seam of the right leg to just past the knee & was thinking maybe a scroll down from about the knee to the ankle? They are lightweight seersucker type pants, no back pockets only front ones
maybe I need to stitch that side back up & open the other side so it lands on the seam? Is this right?

Make a paper template of the design you want to do and cut the excess paper away from around the design. Put on the pants and pin it where you think you might want it. Look in the mirror and see how you like where it is. Move the template around until you are happy. Where you end up wanting to place it will tell you what seam, if any, you'll need to open up to stitch it out. Don't remove the pin until you have marked where it is to go on the fabric.
