A pincushion which didn't make the cut for the Secret Santa Swap. I wondered if it was possible to get a cathedral window effect in the hoop. It is, but by making it into a pincushion, it loses the full effect of the contrast corners. The rose is currently on the first page of the designs section.

I think it is gorgeous and has tons of dimension in it.....very beautiful and I agree with shozo, I couldn't bring myself to stick pins in it.....

I just returned home after 5 days of no internet and admired the new roses as soon as I saw them.
I love the colours you used and your setting is beautiful too. I know roses have thorns, but sticking pins in them... I would not dare do that, far too lovely!

The new roses are a nice set and it is quite easier to vary the colours as only 3 shades are used.
