I'm having trouble searching the internet.I use Firefox home page with google search engine, every time I google something it comes back saying google has configured their website improperly or that their certificates are out of date .I change it to Yahoo & the same thing happened.

My favourites & email are unaffected but everything else I want to do is.
Kaspersky has run scans.
Hopefully someone can tell me how to sort this out.

I wish I could help. Not enough time to read all the comments about this problem. Apparently you are not the only one. I suppose you can not read any of the articles about it. I googled the phrase "has configured their website improperly" and a bunch of articles about that issue. came up. I will try to look at them later this afternoon.

Try turning your Kaspersky of, i think it has to do with it and then check on their website for update.

When was the last time Kaspersky updated? Full scan including potentially unwanted programs?
It seems you have a redirect or malware kind of issue. Please send me a PM with the exact configuration error message. I will do what I can to help you.
