My first attempt at towel toppers.We found these hand towels on sale.They were too short to cut in half & embroidery would get lost in the pattern.The end result is a long towel suitable for any room .Diamond design is from Katulle.
The original price tag was $24.99 no wonder they didn't sell.

This is something I have yet to try. You have done really well with the design and I love the towels. I don't think anybody, in their right mind, would pay that for a hand towel! Lucky for you they didn't. Is this design for larger than a 5x7 hoop? I'm limited to that size but I like how this loop buttons up.

I found a free pattern on the net, printed it out & changed it a bit to suit me.The each diamond is about 2ins squ.
It isn't a ITH project ,just embroidered the design on fabric, & do it the old fashion way.Found it was easier to sew the embroidered front to the towel first,then stitch the back to it ,trim & turn through ,turn under hem at back & sew down ,Stitch buttonhole to fit the button

I do have kutules designs but I thought it was a ITH hanger. I don't mind sewing the 'old fashioned way, in fact Iove to sew. Thanks for the info and you don't remember where on the net the hanger pattern was do you? I suppose I could try to draw it out if I knew about the size. Thanks again for the info and love your towels!
