Mermaid Doll
I made this for my "little mermaid" - my granddaughter who loves to swim. I used pearl cotton for the hair instead of yarn. As you can see, I'll never make it as a hair stylist! 😃
The doll was easy to stitch and my granddaughter loved it so much, she had to take to bed with her!
The design is from a closed site and is no longer available

Well done. I like the beautiful long hair and I am not surprised that granddaughter loved it. .

Thanks! That sparkly tail was fun trying to turn thru - since it's the 5x7 size!

She is certainly lovely. I can see why she has taken her to bed with her. Love mermaids.

Thanks! She had to SKYPE me the minute it arrived in the mail and show me how the moveable arms would help her swim! Don't you love a child's imagination?!

Thanks, so much! I used those star fish charms to tame her locks!

Love the clothes of this doll out of sequin material and her star hair holders. My grand is turning 3 soon and the theme for her party this year, is Mermaids. Good job!

Thanks, Toogie! When I saw this sequin fabric remnant at JoAnn's I knew it was destined for Sue's mermaid doll! By the way, her bra is made from the same fabric - using the non-sequined salvage!
