This is darling. The term baby naming ceremony is unfamiliar to me. Would you please explain what is involved? Is it the same as Baptism or Christening?

I too was wondering the same.
I googled it and learned it is a traditional Jewish ceremony where a Jewish newborn receives their name. Not having any close Jewish friends I was not familiar with the tradition.
Teresa, you are correct...a baby naming is a very important ceremony for a Jewish baby and parents...as I understand it, it is when the baby gets their Hebrew name...
We had a naming ceremony for Ophelie, but we are not Jewish. Not formal like our Baptisms. Love Chris
