I made the Christmas mat and had some issues with it, bells and candles aren't facing the right direction and wasn't sure I was putting it together right. So thought I'd try a plain fabric mat , it came out much better. I did ask kreative kiwi site owner if it was ok to do it my way and she did give me permission to play with her designs that's why there is no decoration. I'll do the Christmas mat again now I know what I'm doing. I'll consider it my practice mat

On the Christmas one I think you just need to rotate some of the blocks a turn or two and you will be much happier with it. We are always more critical of our own work than that of others. Hugs!

I'll keep this one and do another now I realize what I didn't do right, the 2nd one is much better. I spent too much time on it already to try and fix it . I would rather just make another

That's a lot better than I could do, Bev, especially on just a test run...pretty fabrics, too.....

The gold trim really shows up great on your plain one. I am with you. I would rather make another one and keep the practice piece then undo and correct.

I am sure we all have things that do not go to plan, but practice makes perfect. The designs are great, if you turn the christmas blocks a little it shall be perfect, the other is nice, love the gold edgeing. Sandra.

the Christmas one annoyed me so much I tossed it out, I have plenty of time to make another one. I do like the purple one so I'll keep it

Love the purple one but please don't toss out anything. They are a very important piece to tell you what not to do next time I have found. You can still use it.
