any advice for a teddys belly

I am thinking about it , looks like fun but I am getting good at opps (stuff ups ) will any ted do

I want to do a design on a teddy bears tummy
but have no idea where to start, do I need any teddy or ????? maybe short fur
anyone got advice

Minnie if U want to do an already made teddy. You would have to take it apart or get the tummy part loose enough with no stuffing to fit n a hoop. I think this would b virtually impossible. If U want to make a teddy from scratch I'd buy a good pattern, some imitation fur, & then U would embroidery the tummy part before assembling. *4U

Do you want to make a teddy yourself? Or use a ready made one. In the last case, open up the back seam, empty poor ted, hoop it some way or other (see one of the posts for a view, link below), embroider, refill, stitch up the seam. Making one is of course a different matter. Maybe you can get a pattern with instructions for materials to choose. Good luck and let's see the results.

I did one on an embroider bear. It has enclosed stuffing for the belly that you just zip out, embroider, then refill. You can see it in the projects section....I brought it back to the top for you.

do you have to have short fur
