My Daffodil doily.
I have daffodils growing in my garden and wanted to have some of them embroidered on one doily as well
but my machine had another idea and didn't let me embroider it properly since the start. After trying different needles, different tension and speed settings, I gave up and called a repairman. After a few questions, he asked me to take my machine to him. I did and after a few tests, he made one change in the settings for the plain sewing - not the embroidery settings - and lowered the feed dog which was up for plain sewing which I use rarely. I'll test my machine soon. Below is the layout I had made in my software, ready to be stitched out. The daffodil design is from the Embroidery Favourites collection by Sue Box.

My 4-needle is at my repairman and he's going on holiday next Saturday - not sure whether he'll be able to fix and return it before then. even though I have a great alternative in my Ruby, I love the 4-needle for rather large orders and of course I have one now...
