This is an idea I've been doodling today. A friend asked me to design a banner for her grand-daughter's christening and I came up with a simple flower unit for each letter, suggesting they were fixed to a green ribbon - like a daisy chain. Then I wondered what it would look like if I doubled up on the petals and made a kind of ID badge for those taking part in the ceremony. Here is my first draft.

Excellent outcome Mrs. S. I've looked very carefully at your 'first draft' and am frankly lost as to how you might improve on the quality presented thus far. I shall have to have a quiet word with Mr. S., as it seems to me he is allowing you far too much 'doodling time.' Only jesting...........................I think your doodling is extremely creative.

A very clever idea Sue, perhaps you could also put the date of this momentum occasion. Sandra.

The date will be on the banner, I'm not sure I can squeeze it on on here (and still be able to read it!)

Very sweet idea, Sue. The prettiest design I've seen in my church for a baptism was a birdseye diaper, stitched with one large pale pink rose, plus the baby's Christian (full) name and the date - a burp cloth. Oh, and some real pretty heirloom sewn dresses, but that goes without saying!

This is for a two year old girl so we needed to think of something a bit different,

I like the way you think. The badge would be something they could each keep as a momento of a joyful occasion/Lillian
