Hi Cuties! I was told that school will be starting next week....my girl needs new bibs! This is her first. I embroidered on pre- washed, prequilted fabric and lined with the Baby Dry.

She is getting older and I have to be more choosy with her designs, so it doesn't look babyish.

Monogram solves this one, but what do put on the next few? Any suggestions?

Butterflies are always nice no matter what age or perhaps tiny flowers birds, hearts, stars. Sandra.

I glanced today, at some butterfly and dragonfly designs. I also thought of horses, as they have Holly, their horse. Thank you.

The monogram and the bib fabric are very "grownup" She will be proud to wear this. I hope you don't mind that I ask where the monogram can be purchased. I love it. Thanks for posting.

This monogram is called Victor from Apex embroidery designs. It's a 6 inch size. I had to reduce it a bit but I still wanted it large. Even though I did, it still stitched very nice.

Let's keep praying she stays well. She is growing so tall! Did I tell you she got a new chair? She really looks big now because it fits her well.

It is sooo darling and wearable at any age. Avery will love it - and it contains so much love embroidered and sewed in by her grandmom.
Thanks for showing - I love the vivid colour choice too! Maria

Thank you Maria, just wish she didn't have to wear one at all, but oh well.... I have another one finished and the fabric quilted for the third. I don't know what I'll emb on it yet.

Our honorary Cutie will be stylin' and profilin' in this awesome bib. I have this font and I love it. You asked what else? How about a megaphone that is monogrammed (football season). Some leaves sprinkled around her monogram for fall, just about any of the back-to-school monograms with her initials on them would be cute and grown up.

Oh thank you Jerrilyn for these suggestions/ideas. I'll have to look through my files and see what I have. I was in her closet the other day and noticed at lot of her bibs were faded. She sometimes soaks one, in a couple hours, and on rare days she can wear one most of the day. It takes a lot, so I am so thankful I can make them.

Their uniforms are navy or khaki, bottoms or jumpers, with white shirts. I thought this would look good to brighten things up. Thanks-Toogie

She is maturing so I have to watch my designs. It's bad enough to have to wear a bib at her age.

She truly is developing into one, thank you. The fabric was already quilted and was in the 'gave to me' boxes. The design is Apex Victor font.

You did yourself proud--it is nice to make our 'babies' things but we have to realize our babies are growing up also. We may not want them to but yes, they are. Your monogram is perfect. Will look nice on her.

What is Baby Dry?

It's a waterproof fabric I used to be able to get from Hancock Fabrics, here in the USA. I'm not sure where you are, but the stores went bankrupt and closed.
It is flannel on one side, bonded to a rubberized type vinyl. I use it on the backside, so her chest doesn't get wet from drool. 45-50 years ago we had changing pads made out of a bonded flannel, but was flannel on both sides. It's kind of like this, but bonded to a soft rubbery side.
