This lap blanket began as a pile of granny squares I had made for something else (which didn't quite work out how I wanted it.) By the time I had decided not to use up the squares, I had started to crochet a square with the leftover yarn (for no particular reason except I don't like to be idle!) Then I had an idea of how to combine the two - here it is.....
