Hi Cuties, I received a text from my grandson Caleb. He sent me these photos, of the bed that his parents (our son) bought, for their first grand baby.

He wanted me to see the set and curtains I made, for the nursery. I think they all look good.
Also, the tall piece of furniture in the corner is what Caleb, his dad and my hubby built for the baby. He tried to stain it to match the chest of drawers on the left, but it was a different wood. (He also needed to 'practice' staining before tackling this.) It holds hanging clothes in top with a shelf underneath for his little shoes. The deep bottom drawers for blankets/quilts, etc.
The shower is next month and the baby will arrive a few weeks later. Our first great-grand child!

Toogie, your accessories for the nursery look great. I was cautious at first when you showed us the material but they proved us wrong it does look terrific with the pale coloured walls, time is marching on and everyone must now be very excited at the arrival of this little one. Hope all is well with the mum to be. Sandra.

The fabric was not my choice for a baby, either, Sandra. The new dad, my grandson, is a hunter/fisherman/outdoorsman. This is the print duck hunters wear. I told him the baby has all his life for camo but oh well, the baby can't speak and the new dad did-lol-just so they're happy and they say they are.

Dear Toogie, you've done an amazing job on the nursery. I'm sure that it will all be ready in time for the new baby. Great job, you deserve a big pat on the back. Love Chris

Maybe this pat will help the bronchitis-lol-Thanks Chris. They said they were going to pick out some colorful decorations, but I sure don't see any in these photos. May be she will register for some, for the baby shower..........

Not my first choice either, for a baby, but it is what they wanted.I tried to get them to let me do the piping in blue or orange, but no, stay with the khaki, so................

Oh wow! The baby chifferobe ?? looks fantastic! The camo bedding is also impressive. Is that a bed skirt. it would be a good storage for toys hidden under there.

Yes, a bedskirt and really would be a good place, to hide storage if you needed too. Except for the finish, the chifferobe did turn out good.

The camo looks great. Good job.
The furniture looks black??. What if you use black lacer ( I know that is spelled wrong)? You know like the black Japanese furniture.
Whatever, I think the look is great.

You may mean black lacquer, but the baby bed is a dark chocolate color, not exactly black. The chest was what they were trying to match. It's like a rich mahogany, I think. I suppose it will have to stay like this......Thanks about the camo-Toogie
