Everyday I brows the freebies and wonder what I would do with a particular design. I save it anyway because I never know what my grandchildren will want on their birthday shirts. Such was the case with these toy soldiers. Then grandson #9 asked for a shirt based on the movie Max the War dog. He asked me to put a German shepherd in the front and a war in the back. Immediately I knew how I would make the war. I do not recall where I purchased the German Shepherd. I enjoy layout and editing as much as I enjoy embroidery.

Great result. Glad you saved the designs. I do the same. One never knows what wishes come up. I am sure you made a grandson happy.

This is a nice composition for a tshirt. The colors you used go together very nicely too. Well done!

You've given all those if us who save them - never quite knowing if and when they'll come in handy hope :-) . Great job!

Very nicely arranged. I think of collecting freebies as building a library for resourcing later. Every so often, I already have exactly what I think I remember downloading! So many nice cats, dogs, flowers...

Update. Grandson loved the design but wanted me to make the shirt shorter. I guess he could not wait because he decided to do it himself. The results were, well you can imagine what a not quite 6 year old can do with a pair of dull scissors. I turned the design into a zippered pencil case for him and will use the neck to add an extension to make a bib for his baby brother. And yes, I did make him another shirt with Max the War Dog.
