On the weekend I got together with some sewing ladies & we were making The Necessary Clutch Wallet. You would think that since i made one on my own the next would be easier but sigh...........it was not...I made a few changes to the original so they wanted to incorporate them into their new wallet. I had so much trouble remembering the order of the steps I did mine in I'm afraid it took me so much longer to make another. In the end I had to break it down & just do it the way I remembered & fortunately no one had to rip any stitches out when they made theirs. The industrial Janome machine won in the end because no one else's machine but mine could handle the bulk so well & they all had to finish theirs using my machine.... There were 4 of us & we each had a different machine lol. Here is my finished #2 & I have the #3 all cut out but I have been too tired to make it so it is will on my to do list lol. I changed the bottom of this too & added a base fabric because I accidentally cut through the Bosal & the fabric & it turned out to be a good addition & no one noticed it. Just some information if your looking for lobster claws in Canada I found these @ the Dollar Store & they are gr8

I love this and your fabrics! It so good to sew with others too. Wish you would have taken photos of all of them. Even though you used the same pattern the fabric made them all look different, I'll bet.

This looks wonderful! Glad you were able to share your workhorse machine with your sewing friends. I'm sure they very happy you brought such a mighty machine to the sewing session. Well done.

lol good old sturdy work horse lol tried & true. One of the ladies there told me she bought a Singer some 40 years ago & the reason why well they stitched through a piece of carpet without a hitch she said after she saw that she bought it then & there & it worked gr8 for 40 years then just up & quit on her!

Love both your purses so different just by the colours and your tweeking of the design.
I always have a sheet of paper and a pen near my cutting table and write down steps and measurements as I go when I am inventing or changing designs. Then at the end I take a photo and type up my notes so they actually make sense and print the photo and place both in a zip lock bag and file.
Never used to do this as it was usually one off gifts I was making but the when I was asked to do another I couldn't remember what I had done. Might help you to do this.
