Where are most of you finding your vinyl, for the keyfobs? Can you find this in squares like you can felt? Does stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby have this? We do not have a JoAnns, so I hope I can get it at one of the other craft stores....maybe you buy it by the yard, instead of squares....

My fabric and sewing machine store carries it. (Find a store that caters to boat upholsterers, or call an upholsterer and ask where they get it!

Scraps from upholster should work also.

Some Hobby Lobby's have some. I get mine at Joann or online. There are lots of great places online that sell by sheets or yardage so that may be your best bet.

A lot of fabric stores also sell it in the Curtain fabric section. Came across some in the dress section soft enough for making skirts. Also saw some in a box at a Charity store, My thinking is look everywhere when you are out and about. I see things I don't want at times but at least know where to go back to find stuff.

Like maybe cutting up a purse from the thrift shop, if in good shape but not your style....I know I get fasteners sometimes, that way.

I have some that was donated to me Toogie. It was yardage they had left over from recovering some stools. I did not ask them where they purchased it

I am afraid I don't know anyone that upholsters, but lucky you. What are you gonna make with it?

Maybe some small bags and definitely some key fobs

I ran across this website, haven't ordered from them yet. I have found faux leather (vinyl) at Wal-mart sold by the yard. You also could order on line from JoAnn's. Also, scraps from whom ever covers boats in your area, although the one in my area was too expensive for me.

I shop on ebay and just look for the best price, do you want a particular color and how much? I always buy by the yard because besides key fobs you will find many other uses for it

No special color, just wanted to know in general. I bought a little piece of black and one of brown, when Hancock's was open, just to see if my machine would stitch it to make those cord wraps. The brown was thicker and it didn't want to stitch good, but I used up all the black on those wraps.

Walmart! Also Hobby Lobby has it. Have not ever seen it in squares, only yardage. Hugs. Nan W

I've just seen the usual brown or black at Walmart and you're right, sold by the yard.

Toogie, I found a shop that does upholster. They save their scraps which are a yard or less and they sell these pieces for a dollar each. One shop told me they would give them to me but, it was a little farther than I wanted to travel... Hugs, Gail

I'm not close, but I will look in the phone book for upholstery out of town. I will have to travel but I have to anyway, I'm in the country.
