Good Sunday morning Cuties,

First, I want to tell you, the daughter that my husband made the thread rack for Marsha, surprised me yesterday. She came over with her new Brother 770, (YEA!!!) in the trunk of her car. You may remember my post about her using her friends, to get started, if not I'll put the link below.

I was hoping she would at least get the 5x7 hoop and she did. I loved my little 4x4 I started with. It worked out good for me, but I knew she wouldn't be satisfied with that. I hope it works out good for her. She bought it at All Brands and got a good warranty. I'm so glad at least one of my girls got into sewing & embroidery, although both do like the crafts. Both are good at flower arranging and decorating.

Secondly, I wanted to say my time on Cute or anywhere else, has been limited lately. Ashley slipped and fell. She has hurt herself, although nothing is broken, it may be a nerve. Her neck, back, hip, leg. We have had them the last two long week-ends. The first week-end it was just her and the two little ones, from Friday afternoon until Sunday 5 pm. This week-end started Thursday noon and they are suppose to leave 5 again this evening, but we've had her and all 4 kids.

I don't think I have to tell anyone how pooped I am and hubby, too. We know we have to help but I've had to take my meds regular, for sure. Muscle spasms are so bad even with the meds. Just had blood work to check out levels last week but all is normal.....except me-lol

Anyway, going back to my other daughter Marsha, with the new machine. She was here Thursday and I got her to do an ITH zipper bag, on my machine, for her daughter. She loved it! Then Friday, she made two bibs for the babies, emb both front and backside. So I guess that is why Saturday she bought her new machine.

So that's what's been happening in our 'neck of the woods'. Hope you all have a good relaxing Sunday. Toogie

Thank you, that's our hope too!
Marsha's husband works off and this will help her in her quiet days. I wish she would have got into it years ago.

Lucky Marsha to have great help with her machine embroidery. Sorry about Ashley. Take care yourself and remember you are still recovering from your accident. Recovery seems to take longer as we age :((

I don't know if this 'helping' we're doing is to build me up to make my trip, or show me I can't endure the trip. All the cooking, changing 2 of the kids diapers, going to potty with the other keeps me on my feet.

Carolyn, Marsha has always wanted a sewing machine. She had a used machine at one time and did follow a pattern and make a few things. The machine was on its last leg, so to speak, when she got it. When it died she wasn't able to get another one. Now I'm glad she can.

I'm so glad Marsha is now following in her mom's footsteps. I hope she joins the Cute family soon.I hope the doctor figures out soon what is going on with Ashley and she can be fixed up good as new. Please be careful. I know it's hard with the kids to care for. Keep us up dated.

Marsha is following her grand and great-grand,too!
Yes, we all need Ashley to be okay. She seems better at times, and she's young. That's a good thing.

Congratulations to Marsha. She has just entered into a world where there is no boredom. Where she's only held back by her imagination. Where the nicest people on earth stand ready to help.

I was giving her sites to look at, to download like we do here, and she said, "Whoa, I can't catch up"-lol-Ashley told me she sees a lot of pretty things a lady puts on Facebook. The only thing she says is a lot of her things aren't centered. I told Marsha centering or placement is as important, as stitching the design. I think she has centering, already accomplished. I think she will do well.

Hopefully with Marsha bringing her machine and creating such useful items, that if all the creations did not peak Ashley's interest, then I hope it at least gave her a bit of distraction with all she has been going through. What a blessing, that you each are willing to help your family members, the best you are able. I know that most here, and yourselves will likely say that is what a family does and that you would have it no other way, sadly not all families have that level of commitment and dedication. You each are a huge blessing to not just your own family members, but to all those who learn from your example, when people did not have those behaviors modeled for them in their own lives. Once they incorporate those behaviors into their own lives, you will have touched the lives of many more than you may know. I know the Savior would be very pleased when He sees people living the principles that he was teaching in his ministry and through the scriptures that he had instructed his prophets to write down so that we will have these sacred teachings that we so desperately need in this world we live in today. May the windows of heaven continue to shower your family with health and insight of how to manage and that if the trials are to also teach the individuals as well as those around your family witnessing all that has transpired, I pray that the lessons will be learned quickly so that a more calm and uneventful period may soon be able to come your way. Though I also know that when people have these challenging times, that people become stronger and stronger in their faith.... Similar to the quote about what does not break you, just makes you all the stronger. Your family are each becoming Super faithful followers of Christ, where you have all become so strong that nothing could break or dampen your faith. That is my hope anyway! These trials on each of you will be building up treasured blessings in heaven for all those who endure through the difficult paths of life. Thank you for your uplifting example, today was a day my body did not cooperate to be able to go to church. I appreciate all those who share their experiences with our little on line community here. Each of the stories that you and other Cutie's share with us here, help to bring strength and determination to my own life. You each are a blessing in my life for which I am humbly grateful for finding this site and those who participate here. Immense thanks to Ms Veronika for creating this site and the forums which blesses the lives of so many. Thanks again, Pam

I think if Ashley wasn't so swamped with church activities, family, and work, she would try it herself. There is still hope, for when its just her and Avery, at home, but that won't be for a long time yet, as Gus is 5 months.

Amen to that Lillian, and you know first hand. I had made the remark to my husband we need to take a day long, of driving/riding car trip, stay a couple days and come back to see how I held up, before I try to go off for 11 days. That was before Ashley's accident.
I said maybe this was my test. If I can't hold up for 4 days of day and night care, I don't see how I'll do for that long...............

there is always something right Toogie & when it rains it pours. A very apt saying I think. I hope that you take care of you because only you know your limitations ~hugs & prayers for all of you~
