For those of you who are thinking of upgrading to Bernina V8 for digitizing, I have 10 days left on my trial and have a few issues...

At least once a day it crashes because the desnedit quits working
Other software doesn't recognize V8's version of pes as well as some people's machines can't read this version of pes either......so unless I can use V7 and V8 concurrently, I will not be upgrading......at the end of my trial I will ask some ???'s and let you know if I find anything out .......

It's all gobblygook to me Vicki but I thank you for everything that enables you to continue with your fabulous digitising work (seagulls nothwithstanding).

I was so disappointed to get those design edit crashes....it amazes me that they can't get rid of that "feature"!!

So nice of you to comment on your experience with the upgrade. They always seem to sell new software and even machines before testing thoroughly; quick, quick, and we'll wait for complaints and fix bugs and faults afterwards. And with 'they' I mean not just Bernina, Husqvarna is no different. Fortunately for me, they always launch the new in the USA, and Europe comes months later.

You are so right, Martine.......I love the photostitch feature, been wanting to do those for ages, but not at the expense of losing some of the critical features.......
